Will the CPR class fulfill my job requirements?
If you are required to take a Basic Life Support for layrescuers, then you will meet your jobs requirements by taking any of the CPR classes listed in the calendar.
Will I get hands-on practice?
YES. All classes allow for plenty of hands on practice, using LAERDAL (real to life) manikins.
Will I receive an official CPR card?
YES. All individuals that pass the skills test will receive an official American Heart Association CPR card, valid for two years.
What if I forget how to perform CPR?
It is very common to feel unsure about your CPR skills since it is not a typical activity that we practice everyday. If you want a refresher course, you may AUDIT a pre-existing course for FREE. You must schedule a free audit in advance. My goal is that you feel confident, and enforcing the skills by providing ongoing practice is a way to do this. For individuals that are unable to audit a course, refer to the manual and CD that you receive in your course, call a local AHA instructor for free consultation, or request a on-one refresher. Other valuable resources can be found on the AHA website.
How do I schedule a private class for a group?
Group classes can be scheduled at your site, or mine. The first step is to secure a date that works for everyone. Next, I will send out a contract, along with my policies and an invoice for payment. If you want a CPR course at your site, you must have an appropriate environment which allows for frequent handwashing, space for manikin practice and a TV/DVD player. The environment must be clean and comfortable. All of this can be arranged within a very short amount of time, so call or email me today! If my scedule does not allow for your private course, I will refer you to several local trainers that may meet your needs.
